Objective of the session:

Is my organisation spending too much or too little on its patent estate?  What is typical for our industry?  How do we sensibly forecast patent spend when events are beyond our control?  If we obtain patent protection, how will we enforce our rights? These are all typical questions faced by in-house patent managers.  The difficulty of patent budgeting is in part caused by the many procedural steps associated with filing patents internationally, and the points in time that these events occur.

Based on this background, IACC is hosting the webinar. This webinar will examine these issues from the perspective of a domestic patent attorney responsible for coordinating global IP portfolios, a Chinese expert with a track record of successfully advising overseas applicants, US attorney with an immense experience of PCT; an Australian attorney with experience of representing local and international clients, and a UK and European attorney with a practice focussed on helping start-ups to grow IP portfolios.
